United Auto Sales announced today that the new Grand Theft Autos app for iPhone, iPod touch and iPad will come to Android and will be free.
The app will also offer social features like photo sharing, video streaming and game streaming.
The Grand Theft Automobiles app for Android will be available in a couple of months, United Auto sales said.
The new app, which launched today, comes after Grand TheftAuto V debuted on the Apple App Store in December.
The iPhone and iPad app, called Grand Theft Mobile, was the first of the Grand Theft Series apps to launch on Android devices.
The new app is available now and offers features that are only available on iOS.
United Auto sales says the app features features such as:• A “social gaming” feature for up to six players in a game that is available in Grand Theft mobile.• Real-time weather forecasts.• Local search in Grand Tourist, Grand Theft Online and Grand Theft Sport.• Access to a full-screen live view of the vehicle’s interior.• A searchable menu of Grand Theft Sports car customization options.• View your vehicle’s performance stats and drivetrain data.• Find your vehicle and the owner on your smartphone.• Play music on your iPod touch or iPad, including music from the Grand Tourists album.• Listen to audio from a Grand Touring Radio station.• Get notified when your vehicle is sold, purchased or repossessed.• See the current status of your vehicle, including the owner, a recent accident, and other information.
The app has been designed to be more of a social experience than a game and will offer more of the same features as other Grand Theft games.
The game was also free on iOS, but will cost $1.99 a month on Android.
“The Grand Theft Cars app is a great way for us to offer a fun, interactive and social way to discover the world of Grand Tourism,” United Auto customers can do by signing up to the Grand Grand Theft App, a United Auto marketing firm said in a blog post.
“With Grand Theft autos, it’s the world that you can visit, discover and experience,” United Automobile sales said in the post.
“We’re excited to bring this new app to the Android platform and we’ll be working hard to bring you more Grand Touristic experiences in the future.”
The Grand Tour Series apps have also launched on the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch, and are available in Australia, Canada, China, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Malaysia, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Taiwan, Turkey and United Kingdom.
