The initiative, called AutoPay, would offer Greece’s citizens a way to pay their bills and maintain their independence from their government and banks.

Greek citizens would be able to access the service by logging on to their bank accounts and by signing up with their country’s mobile phone provider.

The program would be similar to services offered in some other European countries including Italy, Spain and Portugal, but Tsipres government has so far refused to name specific countries.

“We want to ensure that the Greeks can take advantage of the opportunities provided by the new technology, and we’re working on a comprehensive, transparent and timely approach to this problem,” Tsipris said in a statement on Sunday.

Tsipros said Greece is committed to establishing an autonomous financial market in Greece, which he said will create “jobs, growth, and prosperity for Greece’s people”.

Greece is currently facing the biggest economic crisis in its history, with unemployment hovering around 25 percent.

Greece’s government has not responded to requests for comment on AutoPay.

According to a report by Bloomberg, Tsipri has already set aside €30 billion ($34 billion) for the initiative, and the Greek government has already been given more than €200 million ($235 million) to support the initiative.

The money will be used to help pay for infrastructure projects, according to a government statement.

Tsipsras is hoping the initiative will attract users from around the world and build on the popularity of AutoPay among Greeks, who have so far been hesitant to use their mobile phones to pay.

AutoPay will also provide a means for Greeks to transfer money to friends and family in Greece.

It is unclear if Greece will be able make it as an autonomous currency.

According the Global Economic Outlook, the euro zone economy grew by 1.1 percent in the first quarter of 2018, the fastest pace since 2015, thanks in part to the global rebound in oil prices.
