When Dallas’ gas prices started skyrocketing last summer, many shoppers were concerned that they might have to make major savings.
But the city has been able to weather the storm thanks to a robust oil industry and a boom in auto parts sales.
Now, even some people who had been skeptical about buying used cars are starting to get excited about their new cars, especially those that have been refurbished.
“It’s just been a huge opportunity for us,” says Paul Wachter, who was planning to retire from his job as a sales representative in Dallas.
“This is the city we’ve always been proud of.
It’s where we want to live and work.”
